GI WWII Navy Aircraft Rebreathing Apparatus
USN Oxygen Rebreathing Appratus For Aircraft Use
Own a piece of high-altitude history. This GI WWII Navy Aircraft Rebreathing Apparatus—nicknamed the “Blimp Rebreather”—once fed aviators life-saving O₂ when B-17s and blimps climbed above 10,000 ft. The self-contained unit recycles exhaled air through a chemical canister (not included) and mates to the USN C-type breathing mask, letting crewmen stay on station even if the aircraft lines froze. We found only a handful in solid used condition, complete with original Navy grey paint and data plate. Whether you’re curating a Pacific-theater display, teaching wartime aeromedical tech, or just want a jaw-dropping mancave relic, this rebreather delivers authentic WWII provenance.
