ALICE Packs: Military Rucksacks, Frames & Accessories

ALICE stands for All-purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment, and these rucksacks have been hauling gear for US troops since 1973. Over fifty years later, they are still one of the most reliable load-bearing systems you can buy. We carry genuine GI surplus ALICE packs in both medium and large, plus the frames, straps, kidney pads, and replacement parts to keep them running.

The medium ALICE pack holds roughly 1,825 cubic inches and works well for day patrols, weekend rucking, or a tightly packed bug-out bag. The large ALICE pack nearly doubles that at about 3,800 cubic inches, built for extended field ops or heavy loadouts where you need to carry 50+ pounds. Both sizes can be paired with an LC-2 aluminum frame, or the medium can ride frameless for a lighter setup.

If you are deciding between sizes, our ALICE Pack Field Guide breaks down the medium vs. large comparison, load capacity, and setup tips. For anyone weighing the ALICE system against MOLLE, the ALICE vs. Mountaineering Pack comparison on our blog covers the trade-offs.

Every pack ships from our warehouse in Chicago. Conditions range from new surplus to used/good, noted on each product page.
