GI Vietnam Era M16A1 Colt Rubber Ducky Trainining Rifle
GI Vietnam Era M16A1 “Rubber Ducky” Training Rifle – Original Colt AR-15 Trainer (Non-Firing)
An exceptional and increasingly scarce piece of Vietnam War–era training equipment, this original “Rubber Ducky” training rifle was produced for U.S. military instruction based on the iconic Colt AR-15 / M16A1 platform. Manufactured during the Vietnam era for realistic field and bayonet training, these rifles were designed to closely replicate the size, balance, and handling characteristics of a live-service weapon—without the ability to fire.
Constructed from a dense rubber composite molded over a reinforced steel frame, this training rifle was built to withstand rigorous drills, close-order practice, and bayonet instruction. It features a functional bayonet lug, allowing soldiers to safely conduct mounted bayonet training exercises. As a non-firing training aid, no FFL is required.
