USAF Korean War Heavy Field Cap
This is an experimental field cap that was used by the US Air Force during the Korean war. Groundcrews needed protection from exposure to the bitter Korean winter while about their work on exposed airfields. Type 4407A and A/1. Cap features a fold down flap made of soft brushed cotton material for better insulation to protect your neck and ears. The protective flap can be folded back inside the cap when not used. The inner liner is made of a gabardine-like material. The visor has multiple stiching lines to provide extra support.
