Rare Vietnam issue Parachutists Weapons and Individual Equipment Case. These cases were used by Paratroopers to jump with their radios or crew served weapons. Up to a 100 pounds of equipment could be wrapped inside the container. The WIEC's (pronounced Wick) 18 feet of rope would be used to lower it just prior to the Paratrooper's landing. These could also be mounted on a ALICE pack frame for transport while on the ground.
Size: 10 inches (25.4 cm) wide and is adjustable in length from 33 1/2 inches (85.1 cm) to 50½ inches (128 cm).
