Three finger gloves, also known as trigger finger mittens, are traditionally used to fire weapons in cold weather. These unique waterproof mittens were used by the Navy to operate deck guns, load ammo, and handle ropes and chains on deck in cold and wet conditions. The mittnes are made with heavy duty rubber on the outside and are lined with a layer of wool for added warmth.
