GI Canadian M37 Bren Magazine Pouch
Canadian P-37 Pattern Bren Ammunition Magazine Pouch
These Canadian pouches are part of the British M37 pattern web gear. The mag pouch was used to hold mags the for the Bren Light Machine Gun. Typically, two Bren gun magazines were carried in the pouch, but a 2-inch mortar bomb would also fit. Riflemen would also carry bandoliers of rifle ammunition and grenades in the pouch. Loops on the inside of the top flap were designed for .303 calibre ballistite cartridges (used for firing grenades from a cup discharger on the Lee Enfield rifle). Now you can use it for holding ammo, medical supplies and survival gear. Makes a great collectable too.
