Three-layer Gore-Tex nylon blocks water yet breathes while under-arm pit zips dump heat on the march. The cobra hood cinches over helmets; snap storm flap and snow skirt seal out drift. Reinforced elbows shrug off pack straps and sling rub, and two oversized cargo pockets swallow gloves or MREs.
